Mars Helps Save Planet Earth
With the arrival of our new HAITIAN Mars 160 tonne injection moulding machine, Data Plastics will have a state of the art injection moulding machine that has the lowest carbon footprint of any other machine on the market. The Mars 160 offers between 20% and 80% less energy consumption compared with other conventional hydraulic machines. Not only that, but it will be solely dedicated to the production of Shaun Pulfrey's innovative hair brush the Tangle Teezer.
New Quality Inspection Device
We have full in-house metrology capacity with the latest technology, the CMM Axiom too 900 (Co-ordinate Measuring Machine), that uses advanced 3D geometric measurement software, touch probes and the non-contact high resolution CMM camera equipment. With this advanced inspection technology we are able to take accurate profiling; edge and surface feature measurements and make direct comparisons to component CAD models.
New Quality Awards
Data Plastics has again obtained its three quality awards: BS EN ISO 9001-2008 which we operate across our entire company to continually monitor and control our manufacturing processes. The second award, BS EN ISO 13485-2003 relates to our cleanroom operation where we maintain a class 7 standard for the production of medical and biomedical components and BS EN ISO 14001-2004 keeps our green company status. Valid until 2014, these awards are available to view and download from our Quality page.
